The Cybersecurity Bureau’s CERT-PH has received numerous inquiries regarding the legitimacy of a certain “RAPP account,” which claims to restore accounts in exchange for a fee. Please be informed that NCERT has no official engagement or collaboration with the RAPP company concerning account restoration services.
As the national computer emergency response team under the Cybersecurity Bureau of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), CERT-PH is mandated to implement proactive measures to address and anticipate domestic and transnational cybersecurity incidents affecting Philippine cyberspace, particularly Critical Information Infrastructure (CII).
We wish to clarify and emphasize the following points regarding the claims involving NCERT:
1. No Solicitation of Fees: NCERT, as a division of the Cybersecurity Bureau, does not solicit or require payment for its services.
2. False Claims: The information circulating about payments to NCERT is false and appears to be part of a phishing or scam attempt.
We urge the public to remain vigilant and cautious of any organization requesting payment for account restoration services.
If you encounter suspicious activity, please report it to CERT-PH through the following channels:
